ABOUT THE ROLE

Grassdale Feedlot is currently recruiting an experienced Animal Health worker to join our Livestock health team. This role will be heavily focused around our hospital facility and its daily operation, conducting animal health checks and overseeing the treatment of cattle in alignment with company protocol. 

  • Diagnosis of animal health symptoms and administration of animal health treatments
  • Upholding cattle hygiene
  • Walking pens
  • Trough cleaning
  • Access to own horses advantageous but not necessary
  • Data entry and accurate record keeping using specialist feedlot systems (StockAid)

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous feedlot experience preferred
  • Good stock sense and cattle handling skills
  • A keen attitude and willingness to learn
  • A strong work ethic and great communication skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and apart of a broader team
  • Current Drivers licence
