Local Laws Officer

I am recruiting a Local Laws Building Compliance Officer within the West of Victoria

Your new council
 Our client is seeking a Local Laws Building Compliance Officer to join their Local Laws Department. They are after candidates who are passionate in shaping the future of their city and the people who are part of it, as well as encourage their employees to grow and develop to their best potential.
 Your new role 
You will be an experienced Local Laws Officer and your duties on a daily basis will include:

Dealing with external stakeholders and liaising in regard to building compliance support 

Inspecting building sites to ensure they are complying with the most relevant Building/Local Laws Act. 

Collecting evidence for any potential infringements and follow-up assessments 

Report instances of overhanging vegetation, hard rubbish, abandoned vehicles and any other public complaints - if required

Litter enforcement if required

 
What you'll need to succeed. You will have excellent communication and organisation skills as well as;

Experience working as a Local Laws or Building Compliance

Passion for contributing to the community

Valid police check and a clean drivers' licence
