The Opportunity
A new position for our Bellevue site, the Logistics Engineer is a rare opportunity for a dedicated professional to grow this role and make it your own, liaising across many teams and supporting key objectives for our project.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager with a dotted line to the ANZ Logistics Engineer, you have a wealth of knowledge and support around you as you take carriage of the logistics operations for the Metronet project.
Fundamentally, this role is accountable for designing, developing, and implementing solutions to improve logistics flows to meet relevant targets for the warehouse, logistics and packaging activities.
Working as conduit between suppliers, production, sourcing teams and national colleagues, you are a natural communicator and problem solver. You will have an eye for streamlining processes, seeking out efficiencies or working collaboratively to reduce waste, minimise costs and improve outcomes for all parties.
Skills and experience required
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering or industrial design
- An understanding of engineering terminology and drawings
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
- An excellent communicator and problem solver
- Strong eye for detail in the collection, interpretation and management of data
