Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border. 

This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW. 

Construction of EnergyConnect is underway in various locations across the project area.

This role is located in the Dinawan Region, and would be a fixed term contract until November 2025. This would be a FIFO role, or could someone from the local area.

The role.

SecureEnergy has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Supervisor to join the team on a 21/7) roster in Dinawan. This opportunity could suit a local candidate or someone interested in a FIFO opportunity.

As a Logistics Supervisor, you will work with a diverse multidisciplinary team, cohesively delivering Project EnergyConnect.

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day project supply chain is safe and efficient whilst providing clear leadership and direction for the yard, laydown area and multiple lay-down teams.

As a Logistics Supervisor, you will manage the planning, storage, and distribution of internal-external plant, equipment, and materials to ensure they are delivered to their appropriate work-front on time and in total.

Inclusive to the above responsibilities, you will ensure the administrative, stock control, safety, compliance and plant and equipment procedures are correctly followed and documented in consultation with the Logistics Superintendent.

 Primary Accountabilities:

  • Planning and managing logistics, yard, laydown, transportation, and customer relationships
  • Direct management of relevant logistics staff, access team and yard staff members
  • Supervise, coach and train 
  • Liaising and negotiating with suppliers and manufacturers
  • Working closely with OHTL and Substation supervisors to ensure plant, equipment, and received materials are available to suit programmed works and meet necessary specifications.
  • Working with the Materials Controls team to Implement and manage accurate stock control systems
  • Working with Plant Superintendent to ensure all project plant and equipment is safely maintained and transported while in and around project yards and laydowns         
  • Ensure supplied goods and services conform to Secure Energy JV Safety and Environmental requirements
  • Implement and monitor controls for material stacking, storage, loading and unloading to promote safety and efficiency within the Project yard
  • Maintain detailed records of all plant, equipment and material transfers to and from the Project
  • Ensure high standards in Health, Safety and Environment management are promoted and enforced within the Project yard area
  • Gather and report metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of road transport operations
  • Operational experience running a warehouse and yard
  • Understanding of Safety Processes and Systems -
  • Including Chain of Responsibility
  • Knowledge of Safety Processes and Systems
  • Working experience running a warehouse and yard
  • Construction White/Blue Card
  • Current Australian “C” Class Driver’s License

Desirable

  • ERPT Experience
  • Qualification in Logistics/Warehousing or considerable experience in materials management
  • Forklift license
  • Crane and rigging experience
