Vintech Systems is a well established importer and distributor of products to the Hospitality industry Australia wide. We have been in business for over 30 years and have grown from strength to strength.
We are seeking a reliable professional experienced in Logistics, Import and Shipping to join our Hornsby team. This secure, permanent position has an initial probation period.
The successful applicant will have had experience in a similar role and have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally, and in writing, with international and local suppliers, as well as logistics providers.
In particular, you will be technically minded with the capability & willingness to quickly become familiar with our products, their parts and functionality, as well as our services.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities include:
• Liaising with our International & Domestic Suppliers to place & manage orders
• Preparation & submission of accurate Import/Export documentation
• Coordinating, monitoring & processing inbound orders
• Liaising with shipping, transport and logistics providers to manage both local and international bookings and product movement
• Communicate with Customs / Agents in a professional manner
• Management of Carrier Bookings and arranging container release
• Resolution of any Supply Chain issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Liaising with suppliers to obtain & update technical documentation & parts information and other necessary logistical issues
• Weekly reporting to General Manager and/or Managing Director
• Provide support to our Projects Department or Warehouse who may also be involved a particular Logistical task
• Manage other general administration tasks as required to complete the expectations of the role
Experience & Desirable attributes include:
• Import & RMA Documentation Experience
• Supply Chain Management Experience
• Experience within BSM/ERP environment
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise & manage a variety of tasks
• Aptitude for the understanding of, and willingness to learn, product knowledge, technical documentation and the interpretation and correlation of a range of product and their parts
• A positive attitude, with a keen willingness to tackle whatever is required, in the interests of the business
