An exciting opportunity has become available to join our Supply Chain team.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Logistics Team Leader will be responsible for managing a team of stores personnel and distribution area within a busy airline maintenance facility. The candidate will be expected to have a genuine ‘can do’ attitude and will support their team in day-to-day tasks when needed.
The position is responsible for customer service delivery activities in support of the engineering department. This includes guiding, assisting and coordinating the Stores team on the shipping, receival and storage of goods via prior preparation, delegation, problem-solving, technology use and KPI management.
The position is also responsible for ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain quality control and accuracy of inventory, while meeting CASA regulations and internal and external client requirements/standards (ISO9001, BARS, IOGP 590/690, IOSA).
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory or leadership position
- Degree level qualifications in supply chain, logistics or MBA
- Experience in aviation or in a mining/oil gas environment (highly desirable)
- Sound working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
- Strong knowledge of both inbound and outbound logistic best practices
- Ability to obtain and obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)
- Must hold a current Australian drivers licence

- Ability to work professionally whilst under pressure in AOG situations with competing priorities
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
- Ability to problem solve and apply practical solutions
