The role
As part of our Maritime group, the Senior Logistics/Reliability Engineer will be responsible for undertaking logistics engineering and obsolescence analysis activities in support of acquisition projects and sustainment tasks.
The Logistics/Reliability Engineer will support the senior logistics engineers with logistics engineering task analysis for acquisition and sustainment projects.
Further, the successful candidate will:

  • Undertake or support logistics engineering for acquisition and sustainment projects, as follows:
  • Obsolescence management and analysis
  • Reliability, maintainability and availability modelling and analysis
  • Failure mode, effects and criticality analysis
  • Reliability centred maintenance analysis
  • Level of repair analysis
  • Maintenance task analysis
  • Spares analysis
  • PHS&T analysis
  • Item Codification
  • Liaise with the OEMs to identify, analyse and recommend corrective actions for equipment obsolescence problems, including development of costed corrective actions plans
  • Review supplier and OEM generated ILS plans, logistic support data, technical manuals and other ILS documentation as required
  • Assist in preparation of ILS documentation and plans
  • Provide logistics engineering input into system engineering planning and HW design and implementation
  • Support equipment maintenance manuals and training development
Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role.
About you
Your skills and experience will include:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Logistics Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent on the job experience
  • Experience in Defence industry and its logistics practices and standards
  • Sound experience in logistics and reliability and maintainability (R&M) engineering
  • COTS based logistics experience
  • Experience in the application of relevant military and commercial logistics standards
  • Experience in LSA and R&M analysis tools
  • Experience in preparing ILS inputs to tenders
  • Sound understanding of the development and the inter-relation between the various ILS elements
As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
