Long Term Maintenance Planner - Energy Operations

Work Location: Fortescue Centre - Perth

Roster: 5D2R

Reporting to the Senior Long Term Planner, you will work jointly with the site-based maintenance teams and be responsible for the effective development, management, and scheduling of minor and major shutdown maintenance to 13 weeks, at which point plans are handed to the Weekly or Shutdown Planners.

The Energy Operation team manage multiple generation and transmission assets across all WA Pilbara operations. The Solomon Power Station has a total output of 297MW and comprises of 2 x LM6000 turbines, 4 x Solar Titan turbines and 14 x Bergen V20 reciprocating engines all running on gas.

• Ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with relevant legislation and requirements and to achieve the Energy Operations maintenance strategy
• Plan and schedule approved work orders and tasks to ensure zero harm, whilst utilising equipment and resources to produce effective weekly schedules based on the Energy Operations maintenance strategy and budget
• Liaise with maintenance teams and contractors to ensure the efficient use of available resources and equipment
• Provide strategical support to reliability for maintenance strategy improvement identified from RCA's Review
• Development of spares forecasting strategy/component forecasting
• Develop budgets from maintenance strategy for review including budget monthly re-forecasts
• Provide technical mentoring and support to site Planners and Supervisors whilst assisting with the update of strategies, master data/spares and BOMS

• Proven commitment to safety and zero harm
• Ability to work with others to achieve objectives with a team oriented approach and highly developed verbal, written and computer skills
• Sound problem solving and analytical skills with previous experience in a maintenance planning position
• Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification alongside experience working within a gas fired power station highly desirable
• Experience in the maintenance of turbines & reciprocating engines desirable
• Strong understanding of both production and maintenance strategies for large-scale, power stations alongside highly developed organisational skills
• Knowledge and experience in computer maintenance management systems, e.g. SAP
• Adaptable to change with a self-driven attitude and the ability to be flexible and demonstrate initiative
