As the Longwall Superintendent at Ulan West, you'll be moving into more than a new job. You'll be joining a team focused on assisting you in your career direction and growth!
Ulan West is an established, efficient, and high production underground longwall coal mining operation in the western coalfields of NSW. With state-of-the-art mining equipment, the latest technologies, and best in class safety practices, we are leading exporters in thermal coal. You will be part of a dynamic high performing team using the most advanced technology available to achieve the highest possible operating standards efficiently and safely.
We are located a short drive from the picturesque town of Mudgee, an area renowned for its world class wineries and tourist activities. As Longwall Superintendent you will look after:
- The delivery of the annual budget;
- Reviewing the effectiveness of the department and implementing improved methods of work;
- Statutory compliance levels within the department;
- Intervention plan as required.
To succeed in this role you will possess;
- NSW Second Class Certificate of Competence (Undermanagers), or NSW Third Class Certificate of Competence (Deputies) and be willing to obtain Second Class Certificate;
- Well-developed communication and problem-solving skills;
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Project and Excel.
