About the role:
As the Loss Prevention & Safety Manager for your region, you will be responsible for identifying and minimizing loss to the business and identifying and supporting with safety risks and incidents.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Attend all retail stores, support centres & warehouses in region to measure compliance & act with urgency to raise requests with external suppliers
- Identification of compliance issues & compliance breaches that need further investigation.
- Provide transparent feedback to all levels of retail regarding opportunities & risks.
- Escalate appropriately to any other internal departments as required
- Contribute to achieving the retail stocktake benchmark at retail value. Stores in region to remain below -1.00% shrink at retail value.
- Identify stores with stocktake result inventory accuracy below 93% which will increase loss in sales
- Identify high loss stores, by internal or external activity. Recommend and implement prevention strategies
- Provide retail store teams with appropriate support for thefts and other significant stock loss events.
- Provide factual and complete evidence to support stakeholders’ decision making.
- Follow People Team process and direction for potential and confirmed disciplinary proceedings.
- Partnership with Leaders to be part of the disciplinary process for team members.
- Complete the investigation systematically using all internal resources available.
- Provide investigation detail within an appropriate time frame.
- Only appropriate external agencies will be provided with Company information as requested.
- Reparations to the Business internally or from external agency prosecutions.
- Local Police Relationships & Incident Management
- Access Control System Management across Support Centres, Click Studios & Warehouses
- Alarm Monitoring of AGL Retail Stores, Support Centres, Click Studios and Warehouse this includes EMREX. Push to Exit.
- CCTV Systems, Keys and Locks & Safes for AGL Retail Stores, Support Centres, Click Studios and Warehouse
- Weekly Aged Cash Report, Credit Card Refund, Loyalty Reporting & Loss Prevention Report
- Audit Component for WHS
- Identify and minimize safety risks in retail stores and AGL buildings.
- Reporting of Safety Incidents, near miss and injuries to team members in retail stores, Support Centres & Warehouses.
- Zendesk Safety Incident Investigation form or email.
- Highlight Opportunity for Safe Working Practices
- Attendance by any property owner, external agency or regulatory body including Sitework Australia or Work safe New Zealand of any Retail Store or AGL Building, or notification received in relation to Safety Standards.
- Quarterly Safety Meeting
- Additional WHS Support
To be successful you will have:
- Inquisitive by nature, enjoys fact finding, investigating and is curious.
- Minimum of 2 years as a Retail Area management.
- Understanding of Store Operations and People Management across multi-sites.
- Customer Centric – we have the customer at the forefront of what we do.
- Experience completing stocktakes and an understanding of inventory management.
- Understanding of how to be safe in the workplace.
