The Role:
As a Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist, you will be pivotal in translating complex data into actionable insights and advanced Machine Learning models that drive innovation and strategic decisions. General tasks involve:
- Utilise statistical analysis and Machine Learning techniques to develop scalable solutions for business problems; analyse large, complex datasets to extract insights and inform model development
- Design and implement end-to-end Machine Learning systems from initial conception to development, including crafting algorithms, fine-tuning model parameters, and ensuring models are scalable and integrative with existing systems
- Work closely with product teams and stakeholders to understand their needs and develop data-driven solutions; be part of a cross-functional team that integrates knowledge across tech domains to refine and optimise data strategies
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in the field to ensure the adoption of best practices and new technologies; engage in continuous learning to improve existing systems and explore new ways to leverage data in problem-solving
- Monitor model performance and make adjustments to approaches as necessary; ensure that all data solutions are robust, secure, and compliant with all applicable regulations
- Explain complex technical details in simple terms to non-technical stakeholders; advocate for the importance of data-driven decision making and Machine Learning in enhancing business outcomes
Requirements:
- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with a specialised in Machine Learning
- Strong programming skills, particularly in Python
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Deep Learning, Computer Vision, NLP, Recommender Systems, Bayesian Methods, Econometrics, or Reinforcement Learning
- Publications in top-tier conferences/journals (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ACL)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Kubeflow, TFX, and Feature Store is highly desirable
- Experience in building and scaling Machine Learning models in a production environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong grasp of software engineering principles and Data engineering
- Knowledge of modern deep learning architectures like MOEs, multi-task models, and various ML frameworks
- Bonus points for familiarity with architectures like DCNV2, MMOE, Deep & Wide, ESMM, xDeepFM, and GDCN
