AddressOur client is a designer and manufacturer of industry-leading food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical tubes and is looking for an Experienced Plastic Extruder / Machine Operator to join their team in the Smithfield area
This position will initially be offered on a temporary basis which could lead to a permanent role. You will be required to work on a DAY SHIFT working 12hr days / 4days per week Monday to Thursday from 7am to 7pm
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Operating a plastic extruder machine
- Putting raw materials into machines
- Performing quality testing and ensuring that all products manufactured meet the required standards
- Perform daily production plans
- Labelling products
- Change machine parts for job changeover
- Other manufacturing duties as required
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment (plastic manufacturing would be a bonus)
- Packaging and printing experience would be an advantage
- Familiar with FMCG environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude skills
- Able to meet deadlines
- Great communication skills
- Be committed to a long term opportunity

- Able to follow instructions
- Willing to learn and have a can do attitude
- Have full working rights in Australia with no restrictions on hours you can work per week
