The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for Machine Operators based in Marleston on Afternoon Shift. This is a perfect role for someone who thrives on challenges and can provide practical solutions to complex problems and has the competency to run machinery and equipment.
The Accountabilities:
- Setting up, operating and troubleshooting of equipment within OH&S, Quality and Performance Standards
- Production activities associated within the rostered position with reasonable requests for overtime when required
- Cleaning equipment and surrounding work areas
- Other duties as directed within the skills and experience of the successful applicant
- The ability to manual handle up to 20kg
The Ingredients for Success:
Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role;
- A strong commitment to safe working practices
- A working knowledge of production and systems
- Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day, 5 days a week 6am – 2pm
- Demonstrated ability to operate various pieces of equipment in a plant
- A proven history of following work instructions, procedures and policies
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal (English)
- A strong commitment and demonstrated ability to meet quality and food safety standards
- The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision as well as work effectively within a team environment
- Demonstrate the ability to take on leadership tasks
- High levels of punctuality and attendance
- Able to complete a full medical and mechanical aptitude testing upon request
