Form of workOur client; a National Leader in Recycling Services is seeking MACHINE OPERATORS to join their growing team based in the Blacktown area, this will be ASAP start for the successful applicants.
POSITION DETAILS BELOW:
- Blacktown location
- PERMANENT FULL TIME position
- 6am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 6am - 12pm ( Where required)
- 10 hour shifts
- potential for up skilling on various machines within the yard
- pay rate between $30 - $33 per hour + Overtime rates ( pending experience)
ABOUT THE POSITION
Within this hands on role, you will be responsible for a variety of manual tasks to assist in the day to day running of the yard, operations of various machinery such as balers and cranes and any other manual handling tasks required.
Previous experience would be advantageous however training will be provided.

To be considered for this role, applicants MUST:
- Previous experience in Metal, Manufacturing or Industrial industries, desirable but not essential ( as training will be provided )
- Machine operating experience within various industries desirable
- Experience with plant machinery and/or material handlers desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of maintenance requirements of heavy equipment.
- Proven experience performing a variety of skilled construction and maintenance tasks.
- Experience in manual handling.
- Current forklift licence, or willing to obtain.
- High level organisation skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Be available to work Monday - Saturday
- Be Reliable and Punctual
- Have own reliable transportation
- Be available to commence ASAP
- Ability to attain and retain fitness for work (including clear Drug and Alcohol Screens).
- Currently have the right to work in Australia.
- Pass a Police Check
- Have all relevant PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including Steel Cap boots / High Visibility Clothing (any other required PPE will be advised)
This position will provide stability and a FULL TIME permanent position with ongoing support for the successful applicants
As per the application process, all successful applicants will be required to undergo a Pre Employment Medical (conducted by our Onsit e Occupational Nurse during the interview stage) which includes a Drug and Alcohol test.
