The Opportunity
As our Machine Shop Supervisor, you'll manage a team of 3 and 5 AXIS Machinists and handle the daily operations efficiently, including workflow, quality, cost control, personnel, and training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee machine operations.
- Train and support apprentices and trainees.
- Promote continuous learning and upskilling.
- Participate in management and production meetings.
- Develop efficiency initiatives.
- Collaborate with design and engineering to improve manufacturability.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Extensive experience with 3 and 5 AXIS milling, preferably in high-speed machining.
- Familiarity with Mazak Variaxis and HAAS CNC machines (or similar).
- Relevant certification (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical).
- Manufacturing experience in various environments.
- Strong work ethic and professional behaviour.
- Excellent communication skills.
