HunterNet Career Connections are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join their team as Apprentice Machinists, with our host in Cardiff. 

The successful applicants will complete a Certificate III Engineering – Mechanical Trade over 4 years and kickstart a lifelong career with a reputable company, who over the last 3 decades has embraced technology in engineering to emerge as a precision leader in their field, with a focus in precision and quality.

As an Apprentice your main duties will include:

  • General machining of parts
  • Assembly and fitting of equipment
  • The use of manual and CNC machinery including lathes, mill, grinders, and drills.
  • Inspections and quality control.
  • Reporting broken, defective or otherwise unsafe equipment 
  • Following WHS policies and procedures
  • Attend RTO and maintain a high standard of work

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrated interest and passion for the trade
  • Enjoy technical, hands on work
  • Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude
  • Willingness to listen, learn, and follow instructions
  • Ability to work in a team environment, and communicate with a wide range of people
  • Punctual, honest and reliable
  • A commitment to adhere to safe work practices
  • Car license and reliable transport
