We are seeking a Maintenance Carpenter to join our group to assist with repairs and maintenance. We have 6 large pubs that range in age from 1-125 years old so the tasks are varied and often require a unique approach! Additionally, there is handful of properties in the group that will fall under your umbrella.We have some venue-based in-house maintenance team members that manage some of the day-to-day venue needs, however we seek an applicant with experience in the trade to provide direction, knowledge, oversight and to take charge of the larger more complicated projects. This can involve managing and aligning with external trades and contractors, however a hands-on approach to tasks is required. - Hands-on repairs and maintenance of hospitality venues in the Localsco Group.
- Using skills to quickly repair trade critical items.
- Working directly with the Building and Facilities Manager and Operations Manager, providing recommendations and direction on how to tackle various projects in various locations;
- Build relationships with key personnel within the broader LocalsCo group to ensure shared outcomes are achieved. Including but not limited to Venue Managers, Head Chefs, Bottleshop Managers, Admin Managers and Maintenance teams;
- Be hands-on with maintenance items, using outside trades only as required;
- Manage and oversee preventative maintenance schedules;
- Immediate start preferred.
- Completion of a recognised trade qualification ideally multi trades with significant relevant experience (preferred);
- Experience coordinating small to medium-sized facilities projects;
- Strong time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise;
- An ability to work autonomously within various team environments;
- Be proactive and motivated in identifying projects and planning a solution;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, be proactive and plan effectively;
- Strong written and verbal communication;
- Extensive diagnostic skills, with the ability to problem solve and implement a solution focused approach;
- Willingness and capability to undertake regular travel on an as-needed basis;
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship skills;
- And most importantly - a positive, friendly and enthusiastic attitude;
