The details:
- Permanent Full Time
- $68,884 pa (including industry and uniform allowances) + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
- (increasing to $71,286 pa effective 1 July 2024)
- Please note, progression in remuneration (up to Level 8) is available for this position upon meeting performance and training requirements outlined in a structured Crew Leader framework.

- 9 day fortnight
- 76 hour fortnight
- Location: Burpengary - please note, this position will be moving to a Narangba location later in 2024
About our opportunity
As one of our Parks Crew Leaders you will work with and lead a small team of operational staff (typically 1-2 labourers) and deliver assigned maintenance duties on our green open space assets. This position will have you undertaking manual handling/labouring tasks such as mowing, mulching, weeding, pruning, planting, using the blower and other general duties necessary to complete task or project at hand.
You will also be creating, updating and maintaining work orders using a tablet or computer, contributing to the development and reviewing maintenance schedules and identifying and allocating resourcing and materials required for tasks or projects as required.
Safety is a key priority for us as an organisation, and we will be seeking candidates who not only have the knowledge and physical ability to safely undertake the manual tasks required in this role, we want you to have a genuine desire to contribute to a positive safety culture.
About you
Ideally you will have demonstrated experience within a similar position leading a small crew undertaking similar tasks as mentioned above. You will have a solid level of communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to carry out administrative tasks as well as proficiently use technology applications required for this position.
Paired with the above mentioned skills and experience, you must also possess:
- A current truck licence - Medium Rigid (MR) class or above
- A Construction Induction Card (or be willing to obtain prior to commencement)
- Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control (ACDC) certification or be willing to obtain within 6 months of commencement.
It would be considered desirable if you have completed a Certificate III in Horticulture, Parks and Gardens, Landscape Construction or another similar qualification but not mandatory, though the qualification will be mandatory to progress through the Crew Leader Framework.
