Maintenance Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Gatton. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be committed to ensuring compliance with all electrical safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems and equipment

- Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions, breakdowns, or system failures

- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment

- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing faulty wiring, switches, outlets, and fixtures

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment

- Collaborate with other maintenance technicians to address electrical issues that may affect overall operations

- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards

- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities

- Respond promptly to emergency situations and perform necessary repairs or replacements

- Assist in the planning and execution of electrical projects or upgrades

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician or similar role

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance techniques

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

- Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards

- Ability to operate electrical testing and diagnostic equipment

- Knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) is a plus

- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Valid electrician's license and relevant certifications

- Fully Covid Vaccinated

- Ability to undergo a pre employment medical , police check and security check includes drug and alcohol screening
