Maintenance Electrician

We are recruiting for multiple Electricians to join the maintenance team at our client's large, modern facility in Wacol on AFTERNOON SHIFT! They are Australia's largest smallgoods meat and food processing manufacturer!

Pay from $90,000 up, plus overtime including penalty rates and superannuation

Hours of work - 2.30pm to 11pm, Monday - Friday plus regular opportunities for overtime including weekends!

These positions are responsible for maintaining the meat processing plant and equipment to support the day-to-day production requirements of the business.

We are looking for self-motivated trade personnel with good ability to diagnose and troubleshoot as well as provide preventative maintenance across the plant.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Ensure maximum equipment uptime is achieved by completing effective and efficient Electrical preventative maintenance when production is not running on all packaging production lines.
• Endorses excellent communication skills to manage day to day tasks, quality, safety issues and escalations to your supervisor.
• Ensure that all electrical work meets all company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations.
• Demonstrate problem solving skills to identify and troubleshoot faults to rectify problems.
• Be a proactive team member who shows initiative to build on cultural change improvements to create a stress-free environment.

About you:

• Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence or equivalent.
• Apply well-developed knowledge of the Electrical Safety Act, Regulations and Standards. 
• Proficient with MS Outlook and ability to use maintenance management systems (E.g., SAP). 
• PLC, Variable speed Drives and Pneumatics experience is advantageous. 
• A disciplined ability to work safely and autonomously in a team environment.
• Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced modern manufacturing environment FMCG (highly regarded although not essential)
