An opportunity currently exists for a Maintenance Electricianbased at our Ballarat site on a full-time permanent basis. The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the efficient and effective maintenance and repair of all plant and machinery and assisting with scheduled preventative maintenance according to Australian Standards, relevant regulations, and manuals for the Ballarat operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensures all machinery is operational as per Australian standards.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment to locate the cause and correct the problem.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Place conduit inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas
- Perform schedule preventative maintenance on all plant and equipment.
- Provide and maintain records of time and materials utilised, prepare materials lists, complete, and return inspection check sheets, comply with maintenance and service schedules and report schedule deficiencies.
- Promote and adhere to Quality, GMP, HACCP, and food safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Work with CMMS systems as required.
- Monitoring relevant stock levels of parts held in the maintenance store.
- Ensure that all equipment and machinery are maintained in a safe working condition and are accurately set, ready for use in production.
The successful candidate will have:
- Trade qualifications Electrical engineering or relevant field.
- At least three years maintenance trade experience.
- Knowledge/experience in Food Manufacturing environment, specifically Milling.
- Experience and knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices and processes.
- Sound computing skills with knowledge of spread sheeting and report writing.
- Ability to operate at a high level without supervision.
- Working at heights, confined space.
- Forklift licence (Desirable).
- First Aid Certificate (Desirable).
- A proven team player.
