About the Role
EGR is currently seeking the services of a trade qualified Industrial Electrician to work and maintain the Production Lines at our extrusion site based in Wacol.
The successful applicant must be a Qualified Industrial Electrician with a strong electrical aptitude and the ability to perform a wide variety of electrical fitting tasks.
Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, you will have the ability to think on your feet and hit the ground running with a proactive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing breakdown and preventative maintenance to our Extrusion lines, material handling systems and granulators
- Diagnosis and repair of machinery in a timely manner
- Assist with the installation and relocation of associated equipment or machinery in plant.
- Supporting Production to achieve their output targets.
- Achieving and improving on targets for plant up time through implementation of planned maintenance condition monitoring and preventative maintenance routines.
- Periodically conduct inspections and testing of equipment systems recommending fixes or replacement strategies appropriate to the situation, avoiding costly breakdowns.
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Regularly assist with extrusion line changes
Desirable selection criteria:
- The ability to fault find on electrical equipment
- Experience working with variable speed drives
- Automated machinery experience
- Industrial / manufacturing sector experience
- Knowledge of safety systems and standards
- Pneumatic and Hydraulics experience desired
- Hold a current QLD Electrical licence
- Experience with plant shutdowns, breakdowns, and maintenance within a continuously operating manufacturing facility
- Strong knowledge of various maintenance methods and the ability to investigate problems, determine and implement root cause corrections.
- Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and decision-making ability
- Proven ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate across all levels of the business
- Ability to work autonomously, without supervision.
