Your new role:
In the Facilities and Maintenace Team, you will be responsible for risk management and mitigation, planning, implementation of corrective and preventative maintenance for critical infrastructure and vendor management within our H-ACE environment. The FM Team are responsible for day-to-day operational excellence, maintenance of the critical infrastructure, supervising specialist vendors, acting as first responders to incidents, and becoming subject matter experts for the facility.
- Review and plan the management of both routine maintenance and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as: switch gear, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, computer room air conditioners, building monitoring systems, etc.
- Establish the site’s CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
- Responsible for the on-site coordination of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed, is in accordance with established practices, procedures and local legislation.
- Management and tracking of the Facility assets and the provision of infrastructure & inventory asset management.
- Participate in performance and availability metric reporting.
- Coordinate and complete all facility audits requested by various HDA stakeholders.
- Contractual work order compliance to ensure all contractual SLAs are achieved.
Your primary areas of responsibilities:
- Establish documentation relevant to business & facility operations, including Standard Operating procedures and/or Emergency Operating procedures.
- Assist in the diagnosis and resolution of any infrastructure engineering or services issue.
- Remediation or recovery of physical building power, mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Maintain a high level of system reliability by prioritizing and resolving trouble tickets efficiently.
- Escalation point and technical troubleshooting for all production and facility issues.
- Drive and implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability and reliability.
- Assist in the design, implementation, commissioning and build out of new facilities.
- Work with Production managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize infrastructure safety, performance, reliability, sustainability and efficiency.
- Other duties as directed by the Facility Group Leaders & Production Manager, commensurate with knowledge and training.
About you
As an ideal candidate you will have:
- Degree qualified in an engineering discipline or a relevant Trade and post trade qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role (Defence environment ideal not essential).
- Ideally has experience in an Electrical/Mechanical Facilities and Maintenance operation or medium sized batch manufacturer.
- Experience driving a safety culture through safe work practices.
- Experience with modern quality assurance systems.
- Experience interpreting electrical/Mechanical schematic drawings and data packs correctly.
- Ability to coordinate with Stores, Planning and Engineering to resolve issues.
- Lean manufacturing, 5S and Continuous Improvement knowledge.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Software.
- Exposure to CMMS systems. (MEX)
