The Opportunity

Join us as a Maintenance Engineer/Planner, where you'll lead the development of a proactive plant maintenance program, coordinate repairs, and champion safety. The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer/Planner, you will be responsible for:

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining a proactive plant and equipment maintenance program that incorporates preventative maintenance.
• Coordinating repair work to meet production schedules and minimise downtime.
• Supervising the work of sub-contractors and staff on general building or plant maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Investigating new maintenance methods and systems and participating in the installation or improvement of power, water, steam, air, and other services associated with the existing plant or the commissioning of new equipment or plant.
• Analysing records and identifying opportunities to improve maintenance programs and the suitability of plant.
• Assisting management in cost justification of capital projects, budgeting, and long-range planning of production and plant requirements.
• Maintaining and controlling the MEX system and ensuring data integrity and process.
• Promoting, implementing, and supporting safe working practices, both within the maintenance team and across the site.
• Work with the wider team and share any opportunities for continuous improvements around site.

Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Experience of a planning type role within a maintenance, repair, or workshop environment.
• Diploma or tertiary qualification in engineering or a related field, highly beneficial.
• Computerised Maintenance Management System experience, preferably MEX.
• Proficient in MS Office suite.
• Ability to follow systems and procedures, and strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively in a team.
