About the role
We have exciting opportunities for maintenance officers, fitters and electricians to join our Production Team, based in Prestons NSW.
- Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot and perform repairs to smallgoods making equipment, packing machines and label printers
- Change overs, troubleshoot, repair and maintain complex mechanical equipment
- Install, maintain and troubleshoot various production equipment
- Perform the Preventive Maintenance, Scheduled Maintenance, change overs, equipment rebuilds and support production to ensure quality and efficiency
- Deal with breakdowns efficiently to reduce down time - including urgent repairs, liaising with the suppliers or providing the team alternative solutions to keep production going
- Basic Fabrication skills and knowledge of shop equipment
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with company policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
- Place orders for parts as required and maintain stock on hand
- Complete maintenance stock takes monthly
- Work with third party specialists to install and repair machinery
- Have a service schedule for machinery and when they are due for a service
- “Gets their hands dirty”
- Taking care of all "Handy Man" tasks on site including building maintenance
- Perform general administration
- Any other tasks as requested by the senior manager or CEO
- Ad hoc duties

Skills and experience
- A great attitude to, 'get the job done'
- Relevant study qualifications
- Must have experience using hand tools and power tools
- 3 - 5 years' experience in similar capacity
- Background in the food and meat industry
- Physically fit
- Forklift Licenced
- Car License
- Ability to work well within a busy team environment
- Must be fluent English
