The Opportunity
The full-time Fitter position (Afternoon Shift) will be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and based at our Eagle Farm Value-Add production facility. As a member of the Maintenance team your role will work very closely with the production department at the facility. Our business aims to reliably and efficiently process pork products to the highest levels of welfare, quality and customer satisfaction, with a strong focus on Safety, Quality and People.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Prompt response times when machinery faults or breakdown occurs.
- Work in a methodical manner to ensure production runs smoothly using good observation and problem-solving methodologies.
- Ability to identify and solve root causes to prevent further re-occurrences.
- Complete any preventative maintenance tasks given in a timely manner and to a high standard.
- Installing and problem-solving control circuits, sensors, variable speed drives, electric motors.
- Installation of machines and building control boards.
- Working on vacuum packaging machines.
- Ensure clear handover of work performed between the maintenance team and production teams so that all safety and food quality standards are well managed.
- Perform other non-electrical maintenance tasks.
- Demonstrate ability to work as part of a fast paced growing team, working collaboratively with other departments.
Who We Are Looking For
SunPork has established an efficient, highly skilled yet diversified team that is dedicated to producing high quality, sustainable welfare-optimal products. As a key member of this team, the successful applicant must have:
- Restricted electrical licence.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, be on call and available to work some weekends.
- Hold relevant trade qualifications and current licenses.
- Mechanical knowledge and experience.
- Knowledge of WH&S practices and legislation.
- Fitting experience desired, but not required.
- Ability to work afternoon/night shift.
