AddressFull-time position available for an experienced trade qualified Maintenance Fitter. Trades Assistants with mechanical experience, and 2rd or 3rd year apprentices are encouraged to apply.
Duties and responsibilities.
As a member of our maintenance team, the successful applicant will be required to:
- Ensure all plant (processing and ancillary), equipment, and buildings are maintained in a fully operational and safe condition according to food standards.
- Assist with the installation of new plant, equipment and facilities.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
- Repair food production equipment.
Skills & Experience Required
- Trade qualified Fitter & Turner qualification.
- Trades Assistants with mechanical experience, and 2rd or 3rd year apprentices are encouraged to apply
- Food industry experience is desirable but not necessary.
- High level communication and interpersonal skills is a must.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Computerised maintenance system (MEX) experience is desirable but not necessary training on sit will be given.
- Must be able to work unsupervised.
Requirements of the role
- Multi-skilled including diagnostic skills for equipment,
- Good fault finding skills.
- Welding (MIG, TIG and stick), machining, etc.
- Understanding of food safety requirements and compliance with Quality Assurance food safety standards.
- Full-time role. Flexible work hours as per the roster to provide maintenance and preventative maintenance coverage.
