The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the purpose of this role is to ensure safe continuous, effective, efficient plant operations by providing technical expertise across the maintenance team members, procedures, plant equipment and facilities.
You will assist in aligning maintenance plans to the operational strategy across the key deliverables of safety, environment, production, quality, customer expectations to restore plant capacity in a timely manner.
You will also:

- Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance on assembly machines
- Ensure that planned maintenance is completed as per the maintenance schedule
- Strong safety mindset and work safely, (Understanding of safety improvement activities, Job Safety Analysis/Safe Work Method Statements, etc )
- Oversee contractors and issue work permits
- Assist in the development and implementation of new plant by providing technical skills and constructive input
About You
To ensure success in your application, candidates must be able to demonstrate:
- Trade certificate in fitting, or experience as a maintenance technician/service technician
- Experience in pneumatic systems and control (desirable)
- Knowledge of automation.
- Basic computer literacy using Microsoft Office and SAP (desirable)
- Interpret Electrical and Mechanical schematics (highly desirable)
- Experience in continuous operations maintenance team
- Genuine appreciation of workplace safety management
- Positive, proactive, solution focused attitude with excellent problem-solving skill
- Ability to cover shift work and overtime when required
- Required to pass checks for:
o QLD Explosives Security Clearance (National Police History Check)
o Drug & Alcohol test
