Our client, a market leader in the packaging industry, is seeking a day shift Maintenance fitter for their high speed manufacturing facility in Wodonga.
Reporting to the Supervisor, this is a diverse and varied role where you will be working closely with the Maintenance Team, responsibilities of the role will include but will not be limited to:
- Troubleshooting, fault finding, machine inspections and maintaining of all plant, machines and equipment in good working order.
- Attending to repairs and breakdowns to ensure the set-up and repair of machines meet requirements of production standards.
- Maintain a high presence in the continuous improvement process to reduce down times, and seeking to maximising the outage opportunities to improve upon equipment maintenance.
- Ensure that all preventative maintenance is carried out as per planned schedule.
- Maintain awareness and commitment to employment and legislative responsibilities in relation to safety, quality and the environment
What you will bring to the team:
As an experienced Maintenance Fitter, you will have:
- Mechanical trade qualification, with demonstrated technical experience in general engineering maintenance.
- Familiar with working in a manufacturing environment (medium or a heavy industrial environment experience will be highly regarded).
- Exceptional ability for fault finding and diagnostics, able to read and mark up engineering drawings
- Strong written and verbal communication and value the safety of yourself and others above all else.
