The Company
We are seeking Maintenance Fitters to join our client with new & expanding facility's who are a market leader in the Cold Storage Industry. The successful candidates will be required to spend up to 50% of their time working inside cold storage environments. The remaining time will be spent performing diverse maintenance duties to install, troubleshoot & repair facility equipment to support the achievement of the site's business goals and compliance. The company uses purpose built systems with training provided over the first 6 months and up to 3 years on all systems throughout the business. The position requirements include, but are not limited to:
To ensure electrical and mechanical systems operate, in order to
support customer service KPI’s
Carry out planned, predictive and reactive maintenance
Maintain a safe working environment
Perform preventive maintenance programmes as determined by the
manufacturer’s equipment
Respond efficiently to breakdown conditions so as to minimise
equipment downtime
Liaise with the Planner and Operations team to identify the impact of
breakdown events on Customers
Maintain records of preventive maintenance tasks completed and
report any variations vs. plan
Maintain stock records of all spare parts held.
Ensure OH&S, Environmental and Quality compliance is in
accordance with established procedures, policies and work
standards
Ability to undertake and manage height operations and rescue
Daily handovers and communication
Training will be provided, but to be considered for this role you will possess the following:
Mechanical Trade qualification with strong fitting experience and electrical aptitude
Working at Heights Certificate / Rescue
Chain of Responsibility (CoR)
Forklift Licence
Scissor Lift Licence
Electrical D Licence preferred
Hours and Rates
4 on 4 off rotating shifts, 6am to 6pm & 6pm to 6am $127k Inclusive with Super+ overtime paid at hourly rates from time & a half to double time depending on shifts & hours worked.
You must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian Permanent Residency Visa to be eligible to apply for this position. You must also be fully vaccinated in line with the Victorian Government mandate.
