About the Position:
Seeking a highly experienced and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join our afternoon shift team of experienced trades people and apprentices. This is a rewarding opportunity with excellent working conditions where all tools are provided. You will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of the plant and equipment, attending to breakdowns and actioning work requests. The ideal candidate will have experience in a maintenance role, hydraulic/pneumatic systems and knowledge or experience with injection moulding equipment. You will also be proficient in the use of maintenance management systems, preferably MEX. Looking for a fast learner, someone who is flexible, adaptable and a strong team player with excellent time management skills.
Responsibilities Include:
- Undertake repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment to ensure production schedules are met.
- Monitor MEX work requests and undertake works in order of priority.
- Attend to any breakdowns as required.
- Monitor MEX/MATTEC machine service schedules and undertake services.
- Maintain stock of critical machines and process spares.
- Ensure urgent issues are communicated to the Engineering Services Supervisor.
- Report all potential hazards and incidents using our systems.
About You:
- Hold a trade qualification in Fitting.
- Demonstrated experience in a maintenance role.
- Post-trade certificate and experience in hydraulics & pneumatics.
- Demonstrated experience in CMMS (preferably MEX).
- Thorough knowledge of Hydraulic/Pneumatic systems.
- Significant knowledge of Injection Moulding Equipment and associated equipment.
- Sound decision making and time management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Flexible, adaptable and customer focussed.
