Our Australian manufacturing facility based in Regency Park, South Australia is looking for 2 xMaintenance Fitters (Mechanical), 1 x Day Shift and 1 x Afternoon Shift.
The Role:
An exciting opportunity exists at our manufacturing site in Regency Park for experienced and suitably qualified Maintenance Fitters (Mechanical) covering Day and Afternoon shift, reporting to the Maintenance Manager, with experience in FMCG manufacturing. In this role you will use your fault-finding skills and your general maintenance experience to ensure that our automated high-speed printing and conversion machinery are operating efficiently and reliably.
The role involves a high degree of autonomy and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and driven manufacturing environment where no day is the same.
This role requires shift work and occasionally requires the successful candidate to work across shifts and occasional Weekend work (as required).
A base rate of between $40 and $50 per hour is on offer commensurate with experience.
Principal Accountabilities
- Preventative maintenance and routine adjustments.
- Troubleshooting and rectifying breakdowns.
- Fault diagnosis and reporting.
- General workshop repairs.
- Tooling Servicing/ Preparation.
- Conducting maintenance tasks as per the maintenance plan.
- Completing work orders and closing out in our CMMS system.
- Working in a safe manner and reporting/ identifying hazards in the workplace.
Competencies Required
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- FMCG manufacturing experience.
- The ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fault finding skills with automated packaging machinery.
- Experience working with pneumatic systems and plc-controlled equipment.
- High speed packaging equipment.
- Experience in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and breakdowns.
- Working at heights ticket (desirable).
- High risk forklift licence.
- Restricted Electrical licence or willing to acquire.
- Scissor lift licence advantageous but not essential.
Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preference within a FMCG manufacturing environment.
