Our Dairy Manufacturing and Distribution facility located in the heart of central Wagga Wagga has a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated self-starter to join our team as aMaintenance Fitter.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Efficient and effective mechanical maintenance and engineering service to our Operations and Distribution facilities;
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records, including Stores/Spares usage;
- Undertaking all work aligned to Safety, Quality and Reliability systems.
- Trouble shooting and fault-finding unplanned breakdowns in a timely manner;
- Undertaking industrial repairs and preventative maintenance;
- Proactive review and engagement in initiatives which continuously improve reliability and efficiency of our equipment
- Other associated Maintenance functions; and
- Undertaking all work aligned to Safety, Quality and Reliability systems.
What we are looking for:
- 2 years’ experience as an Industrial Fitter (preferred);
- Fitter Machinist or Fitter Welder Trade qualifications;
- Experience in fault finding, breakdown repairs of machinery and preventative maintenance;
- Strong skill set and ability in disassembly, reassembly, diagnostics / trouble shooting and component repair overall;
- Ability to proactively organise and prioritise work tasks, in both an autonomous and team environment;
- Strong analytical and systems skills;
- High level communications, interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team;
- Willingness and motivation to development your knowledge and skills with further training;
- Proactive and able to work autonomously; and
- Well-developed time management and prioritisation skills.

Hours of work are an alternating Day/Afternoon shift roster Monday-Friday. Your availability to work overtime and weekends from time to time is required, as is the ability to join a rotating, after hours on-call roster one week per month.
We provide a highly competitive salary package plus overtime and call out allowances, with opportunities to develop your skills. Relocation assistance is also on offer for the successful applicant.
