We're seeking a qualified, experienced and reliable Maintenance Fitter to join the team in Brendale. This position will commence as casual with full-time hours, with the potential to move into a full-time permanent position.
The primary role of the Maintenance Fitter is to execute the mechanical maintenance function as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Hours: Day Shift, 7:00am - 3:06pm (some flexibility)
Shifts: Monday - Friday
Role: Maintenance Fitter
Hourly Rate: $50/hour + super
Your responsibilities will include;
- Complete scheduled tasks and mechanical breakdown tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
- Maintain a range of plastic blow moulding equipment and robotic packaging automation
- Ensure work is conducted safely and take safety seriously.
- Liaise with Electrical Trades where required
- Maintain spare parts inventory as required
- Maintain quality standards and controls to manufacture.
- Participate in House Keeping activities
- Work independently at times but also as part of a team to achieve the best outcome
Desired skills and experience:
- Prior experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of “good practice” preventative maintenance strategies
- Hydraulic and Pneumatics experience
- Trades qualified Fitter or equivalent
- Strong commitment to workplace, health and safety
- Problem-solving and solution-focused approach
- Candidate must be comfortable standing on feet for long periods
- Candidate must be reliable week to week and approach each working day with a can do positive attitude
