Barwang Pty Ltd has various sand mines and quarry locations in Canberra/Bungendore and the region. We have been in operation for over 50 years. We have a large fleet of earthmoving equipment including, crushers, grinders, screens, excavators, FELs and trucks. We also have a range of large fixed plant including wash plants which need regular attention and continuous improvement through fabrication projects.
Qualifications & experience
- Experience in welding essential
- Experience on any earthmoving/truck and fixed plant required
- Any mechanical knowledge preferred (diesel and electric motors/pumps)
- Barwang is able to nominate eligible subclass 482 and/or 494 visa applicants for employment
Tasks & responsibilities
- Daily plant & machine maintenance repairs
- Welding repairs and fabricating plant (new and existing)
- Breakdown assistance
- Maintenance upkeep and checks on screens and grinding equipment
- Pre-starts on fixed plant & replacement of bearings, belt skirt rubbers etc.
- Use of maintenance system for outstanding repairs and adding additional repairs
- Ability to self manage and problem solve
