ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position on a 7:7 rotating Day/Night roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns to Groote Eylandt.
As the Mobile Maintenance HV Fitter, you will be responsible for safely maintaining mobile diesel surface mining equipment as per work management processes, maintenance schedules and work instructions.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines
• Trace, correct, and monitor faults and provide feedback and recommendations to rectify
• Assess, repair, and maintain systems on HME including: exhaust, cooling, transmission and drive trains, suspension, steering, brake, fuel, Turbo charger, Air-conditioning, Electrical and electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic
• Repair, remove and/or fit undercarriage, framework, ground engagement tools, mechanical and electrical components

ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Extensive experience in Mobile Maintenance - Caterpillar, Cummins, Sandvik, Komatsu or Hitachi preferred
• Proven understanding of principles of fault finding and diagnostics
• Knowledge of Mobile Mining Equipment Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electrical systems
• A strong commitment to safety

Qualifications for this position are:

• Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic (Required)
• High Risk Dogging and Forklift (Required)
• Current HR Licence (Desirable)
