The location
The NT Mining Operations comprises or two sites mine located 160 km and 240 km south of the City of Darwin at Cosmo and Union Reef.
The role
This role is part of the Maintenance team. The incumbent will undertake maintenance leadership work across our NT sites, in a field leadership position. The incumbent will be required to lead field teams in both fixed and mobile maintenance along with earthmoving machine operation.
You will be:
- Leading and Supervising Maintenance Activities: This includes allocating daily tasks, leading from the front during maintenance, and ensuring work meets Australian Standards.
- Planning and Scheduling Maintenance: This involves identifying surge labor needs, scoping material and coordinating procurement, and assisting with shutdown and weekly planning.
- Ensuring Equipment Uptime and Maintaining Documentation: Completing repairs, maintaining maintenance records, and collecting critical data for reporting are all crucial for keeping equipment operational. (
- Contributing to Maintenance Strategy and Improvement: This includes assisting with risk assessments, developing procedures and spare parts lists, and training on new procedures.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Mechanical Fitter or Electrical trade qualifications.
- Extensive mining or processing industry experience
- Minimum of 1 year in a similar supervisory role
- Pronto experience would be an advantage.
The role is DIDO from Darwin, on an 8:6 roster. Site accommodation and meals provided.
