The opportunity
In this role you will be responsible for planning and scheduling all maintenance activities ensuring they are on time and on budget including resource management. You will work closely with a small but high performing maintenance team.
Applicants will need to be Trade or Degree Qualified, have a current Driver's licence and a track record of further training/learning in Project Management, Leadership or other related topics.
You will also need to have demonstrable experience in, a manufacturing environment, leadership and project management preferably in the Feed or Food sector. You will also need to have extensive knowledge and commitment to safety and safe work practices.
In addition, you will have efficient problem-solving skills, the capacity to work well under pressure in a very fast paced environment all the while ensuring safety is a priority. In addition, you will have strong communication skills, excellent organisation (as you would expect from a Manager) and the ability to work within a team.
This plant is a state-of-the art, fully automated and everything is brand new, therefore, if technology gets you buzzing then please consider this role.
Your duties include:
- Lead, manage, plan, schedule and monitor all maintenance activities including planned and/or preventative maintenance,
- managing breakdown responses and project managing capital works,
- improvements and upgrades, to deliver optimal operational outcomes, whilst mitigating risks/hazards
- Manage, schedule, monitor and deliver maintenance projects within time, quality and cost parameters.
- Manage maintenance and capital works in accordance with approved budget.
- Oversee and coordinate maintenance contractors, ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures.
- Lead and undertake plant inspections and maintenance activities in accordance with Company standards.
- Lead and manage maintenance safety, hazard mitigation and hygiene in accordance with Company standards.
- Oversee and manage maintenance procurement; sourcing parts and services, to optimise operational effectiveness.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of parts inventory, in order to minimise operational downtime.
- Identify issues and problems promptly and escalate with manager to source eeffective solutions.
- Promote and lead understanding and collaboration between different work areas.
- Promote and lead the accurate interpretation and adherence to operational procedures and specific instructions.
- Complete progress reports, maintenance records and documentation promptly, accurately and completely.
- Lead commitment to continually seek improvements across maintenance activities.
