AddressThe Maintenance Manager role is responsible for the operational activities of the maintenance function on site, including all plant and equipment, maintenance planning and facilitating external contractors achieve the divisions budgeted and strategic goals.
As Talloman Maintenance Manager, the incumbent is responsible for maintenance operations and plant assets to ensure the site operates efficiently, developing strategies to reduce downtime and maximise overall equipment effectiveness.

Our Rendering division, known as Talloman, specialises in the processing of mixed abattoir materials to produce high quality, nutritious, feed ingredients. On site we have approximately 60 employees.
Your responsibilities
- Manage maintenance operations to ensure maximum overall equipment effectiveness.
- Identify suitable opportunities for growth and technological improvement, including introduction of workflow automation and process control technologies.
- Ensure that all supervisors and team leaders understand and implement company policies and procedures, taking corrective action when necessary.
- Complete safety inspections and report and investigate hazards.
- Ensure that all department employees understand their position expectations, receive learning and development needs and are counselled to perform in line with CMG’s performance management processes. Involving providing support, guidance, ongoing feedback and recognition to team members.
- Facilitate regular team meetings to ensure open and clear communication between management, supervisors and department employees.
About you
- Sound experience at a manager level
- Sound people management skills
- Well-developed communication skills
- Experience in asset management
Desirable
- Rendering or meat industry experience
- Experience as a Maintenance Manager in a rendering, meat processing operation or other manufacturing/processing environment
- Knowledge of relevant Occupational Health and Safety regulations and requirements
- Trade qualification
