ABOUT THE ROLE

The Maintenance / Mechanical Fitter plays a vital role in the operations and maintenance of our chemical manufacturing plant. The role is responsible to maintain the operations of the packaging lines to ensure maximum production rates and minimal downtime. The position requires a motivated and detail-oriented individual who can work within a collaborative team environment to ensure smooth and efficient operational processes and procedures while adhering to stringent quality and safety standards as part of the daily routine.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform any other maintenance work around the plant as directed by your Manager.
  • Establish and carry out preventative maintenance programmes.
  • Installatiion and fabrication of equipment on new plant when required.
  • Miscellaneous maintenance duties as required by your Manager.
  • Any reasonable work within your capabilities and skills as directed by your Manager/Supervisor.
  • Provide training to others to transfer skills, and knowledge.

IDEALLY, YOU WILL BRING.

  • The physical agility and fitness to effectively carry out tasks.
  • Previous experience in a chemical plant or manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Full working rights to work in Australia.
  • Forlift and HC truck Licence (preferred by not essential).
