Form of work The Craig Mostyn Group is one of Australia’s leading diversified food and agribusiness companies servicing customers and suppliers both domestically and overseas. We produce fresh pork, seafood, protein meal and tallow. The Group employs over 1200 employees throughout Australia.
Talloman receives animal by-products from abattoirs, processors, butchers. The site currently processes up to 3,000 tonnes of animal waste per week that would otherwise go to landfill. The role will be working closely with our maintenance team, reporting to the Plant Manager located in Hazelmere on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
-Diagnose fault find, repair and maintain hydraulic systems, conveyor systems and other equipment/machinery in the plant.
-Perform basic welding, maintenance, and repair work without supervision
-Perform Lubrication and oil level Check
-Carry out start-up and shutdown proceedings
-Carry out major mechanical overhauls, refurbishments & repairs to equipment
-Carry out precision fitting within fine precision tolerances relating to bearings, bushes and sleeves and other parts
Skills and Experience:
-A mechanical fitting trade certificate or equivalent
-Working in confined space/gas /Forklift high risk license
-Previous maintenance experience in a fixed plant facility or production environment
-Understanding and knowledge of MEX highly desirable
-A good understanding of root cause analysis
-Ability to trouble shoot and work safely under pressure
-Experience using Lathes, mills, pedestal drills, small to medium sized gear/motor drives up to 15kw
Pay range: From 80k to 90k per annum + Super
