The Position:
Due to business growth we are searching for an experienced Mobile Maintenance Short Term Planner based at our Malaga Head Office in a full time capacity Monday to Friday.
The key purpose of the role is to forecast, plan, schedule, budget, coordinate, monitor and review all mobile maintenance activities necessary to deliver optimum equipment availability and maintain the integrity of the Company assets.
Key responsibilities would include but not limited to:
- Maintain current mobile maintenance plans for each piece of equipment indicating duration, hours of use, expected life and parts availability to ensure accuracy of data required for planning schedules.
- Prepare mobile maintenance schedules of all Plant & Equipment ensuring adequate stock supply, resources and workforce availability, to maintain optimal performance and output of operation.
- Significant experience in planning, scheduling and budgeting activities to establish maintenance plans
- Demonstrated experience in report writing ,data analysis and communication skills
- Sound knowledge and experience of asset management philosophies and a centralized planning function
- Able to plan multiple activities for remote areas with knowledge of logistical requirements .
- A proactive approach with outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
- Monitor, review, reassign and modify when necessary servicing schedule to ensure availability of equipment when there is a change in operational requirements.
- Record any changes or improvements to mobile maintenance procedures to ensure accurate, up-to-date information is readily available.
- Ensure compliance with all planned mobile maintenance schedules and report non-compliances if and when they occur;
- Identify equipment deficiencies, take appropriate action to resolve mobile maintenance issues and make appropriate recommendations for improvements.
- Report mobile plant failures to Mobile Maintenance Manager and make recommendations for recovery; and
- Conduct ongoing thorough analysis of data and auditing compliance to ensure continual equipment cost efficiencies throughout all areas of the business.
The Experience:
- Minimum 3 -5 years’ experience in an Maintenance Planning position with exposure to mining industry (HME)
- Knowledge and understanding of CMMS and ERP software Pronto
- Extensive experience with a varied range of mining equipment & heavy plant maintenance.
- Experience using maintenance management systems.
- Strong understanding of mobile maintenance, materials management, and operations; and
- Solid understanding of resource management, cost management, and budgeting.
The Qualifications:
- High Computer literacy skills with experience in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Project Software.
