Maintenance & Reliability Manager

As the Maintenance & Reliability Manager, you will report directly to the Plant Manager and play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, cost-effective, and sustainable maintenance of our manufacturing equipment. Your efforts will directly contribute to achieving customer quality specifications and requirements. This hands-on leadership position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including:

Operations:

• Provide leadership and direction to the mechanical and electrical maintenance functions, ensuring uninterrupted production and continuity of mechanical and electrical systems and processes.
• Plan and coordinate large-scale maintenance works and upgrades, while ensuring efficient and timely completion of contractor work.
• Optimize the performance of plant and equipment through your engineering knowledge, troubleshooting expertise, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Reliability:

• Ensure uninterrupted production continuity of mechanical and electrical systems throughout the malting facility.
• Develop and implement long-term predictive and preventive maintenance strategies to minimize machine downtime and unscheduled maintenance.
• Keep records and schedules up to date in asset management software, and utilize maintenance analytics for reporting.
• Identify opportunities for energy efficiencies and adhere to the energy roadmap to meet targets set by ISO 50001.

Financial Management & Control:

• Prepare, plan, and execute plant-based capital and maintenance projects, while maintaining control over expenditures in line with the annual budget.
• Generate accurate R&M and Capital budgets that align with business requirements.
• Oversee the procurement of maintenance parts and services level agreements.
• Champion cost-saving initiatives to optimize financial performance.

Safety:

• Take accountability for the safety of yourself, your colleagues, customers, and contractors.
• Strive for a zero-harm work environment and continuously improve safety, health, and environmental (SHE) performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Contribute to and implement plant safety projects, while understanding the impact of site operations on the environment in line with ISO 14001.

Food Safety & Quality Management:

• Foster a food safety culture and adhere to processes, procedures, and directions related to food safety and quality management.
• Ensure compliance with Plant HACCP, Quality, and Continuous Improvement systems, meeting requirements in a timely manner.
• Maintain FSSC 22000 accreditation and uphold other food safety standards.

Team:

• Manage and direct the work of a seven-member maintenance team.
• Ensure the team is adequately trained, equipped, and motivated to carry out maintenance programs safely, efficiently, and within budget.

Project:

• Oversee and support all aspects of plant R&M and CAPEX projects, from scoping and design to implementation and execution.
• Actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement across the plant.

If you have relevant management experience, along with a degree in Electrical, Maintenance, or Mechanical engineering, and a track record in maintenance and reliability planning, we would like to hear from you. A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance and reliability planning is required, ideally in a food or related industry. We are looking for a well-organized, structured, and outcome-focused professional with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
