The Opportunity:
Lynas is in the final stages of commissioning the Kalgoorlie Rare Earths Processing Facility (REPF), and is a key strategic platform for critical production, which combines pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical processes within the one mineral processing plant.
We’re looking for a target driven and collaborative team-centric Maintenance Supervisor who will help drive our maintenance strategies and achieve ongoing availability of the plant, whilst providing guidance, leadership and support to the efficient maintenance fitters on crew.
Our new Plant is just 5 minutes from town, and this position is being offered on a Monday – Friday 5/2 or 5/2/4/3 roster. Being Kalgoorlie residential, you will be home every night and have your weekends off. (Not FIFO)
You will be Responsible for:
- Supervise and monitor the work scheduling of technicians in maintenance activities
- Integrate with other key stakeholders and departments to ensure plant targets are achieved safely
- Lead maintenance planning activities in conjunction with maintenance planner
- Provide technical support for problem solving maintenance issues
- Identify maintenance requirements and improvements
- Manage contractors to complete maintenance works
- Ensure maintenance coverage
- Coordinate the ordering of adequate spares, materials, and consumables
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
About the Successful Applicant:
- Prior experience in a leadership/supervisor position in the mining or processing industry
- Australian recognised Trade Certificate – Mechanical or equivalent
- Schedule 26 (WHS legislation) certification
- West Australian C Class Manual Drivers License (minimum)
- Previous suitable experience in a mechanical-fitter capacity
- Current Highrisk Work licenses – WP, LF, CN, RB or above
- Construction Industry White Card
- Sound computer and administrative skills (Microsoft Suite)
- Full Australian working rights
- Must reside locally within the Goldfields region for our residential site, or be willing to relocate
- Maintain facial hair/jewellery to be able to pass a respirator fit test as per Australian Standards 1715:2009.
