Reporting to the Area Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is primarily responsible for the effective and efficient execution of all maintenance works, producing quality outcomes in a timely manner, supervising a team of employees and sub-contractors.
In order to fulfil these responsibilities, the Maintenance Supervisor is empowered to manage work priorities, develop job plans, define scope and specifications, procure works within state supply commission guidelines, local government procurement requirements and develop a safe, effective and efficient quality control plan and environment for the Team they manage. They are a key person within the Team, possessing strong work ethic, leadership qualities and customer service skills to take part with future advancement opportunities.
The day to day:
- Ensuring that all tasks are planned according to the Contract Operations Plan
- Delivering services in a professional manner that meets client satisfaction
- Communicating with customers and service delivery teams regarding work and start dates
- Managing and coordinating all works from planning to completion
- Maintaining high levels of customer service by holding regular client meetings and providing timely feedback to all stakeholders
- Conducting and reporting on stakeholder performance assessments
- Ensuring timely completion of all compliance requirements
- Processing subcontractor claims promptly
- Ensuring work is done in compliance with statutory requirements and industry standards to minimize risk and provide value for money, with regular auditing for continuous improvement
- Leading the delivery of VOID, Hand back, Planned, and Reactive Work Orders and other contractual obligations.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Trade background with knowledge of building maintenance, scoping work, scheduling, contractor liaison, and quality auditing
- Strong project management, communication, and time management skills
- Experience using a mobile Work Order Management system (Locate or Maximo is preferred)
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety management on site, including working in challenging environments
- Essential qualifications: OH&S White Card and current Australian Drivers License
