Form of workWe are looking for a motivated and passionate Maintenance Team Leader to join our team in Dunalley, Tasmania. This is an exciting opportunity to grow and develop your skills in a supportive team environment.
Reporting to the Farm Manager, this role has the primary responsibility to continuously improve and optimise plant and equipment performance to ensure efficient farm production, maintaining reliable and efficient water flow rate without risk to employees and the environment.

Your responsibilities
The successful applicant will get the opportunity to develop their maintenance skills by undertaking the following key responsibilities;
- Develop and monitor Predictive & Preventative maintenance programs for critical Plant & Equipment
- Coordinate pigging of main inlets and on farm plumbing
- Assist with supervision of farm employees and the cleaning, feeding and harvesting of abalone
- Monitor and adjust water flows to ensure optimum growing conditions and energy costs
- Conduct water testing as required for EPA or to monitor growing conditions
- Monitor farm performance KPI’s and assist with initiatives to improve farm performance and reduce cost per kg grown
- Rostered on call and occasional weekend work
About you
To be considered for this role, it is desirable that applicants possess the following:
- Experience with OHS&E (SWMS/JSA/Work Permits), First Aid – desirable.
- People supervision / leadership experience
- Coordinate maintenance contractors (divers, electrician, refrigeration, etc.)
- Experience in mechanical farm repairs, auto electrical, welding, pumps, pigging, etc.
- Safe use of a range of power tools
- Passionate about developing your career
- Curious about learning new skills and contributing ideas to the team
- Aquaculture experience is a bonus
