The Role:
We have a new opportunity for a motivated and experienced:
- Maintenance Technician with an Industrial Electrical background OR
- Mechanical Fitter
Happy to consider Qualified Electrician or Fitter & Turner with a Unrestricted licence.
This full time Maintenance Technician role is supporting our customer site and will give you a good exposure to a number of systems and technology.
- primarily Located at Northmead - (Day shift - 6.00 am – 2.00 pm)
- occasionally providing shift relief support (covering annual leave / sick leave) at Northmead & Eastern Creek
- mainly day and afternoon shifts or the occasional night
- shift loading offered for afternoon and night as well as weekend and overtime rates.
- Flexibility is crucial for this role.
You will be servicing clients' equipment in accordance with project and service agreements, whilst also identifying opportunities for improvement in the manufacture or performance of systems and products. Adhering to and promoting safety standards and work is also a vital component of the role.
What we are looking for:
Successful candidates will have experience in troubleshooting / problem solving equipment faults, be customer focused and ensure high quality service and output is delivered, as well as possessing the following qualifications & experience:
- Australian Trade qualification with Certificate III - Electrotechnology Electrician OR
- Mechanical Fitter with an Australian Unrestricted Electrical Licence
- Must have a reasonable understanding of mechanical aptitude and maintenance in previous roles
- Any PLC experience is highly regarded, we can provide training on Siemens S7 and SCADA systems
Attributes sought include:
- Experience with maintaining mechanical and pneumatic systems
- Computerised maintenance systems experience (MEX) is ideal
- Experience with automation (conveyors and sortation systems) is an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics highly regarded
- Understanding of OH&S requirements and safe work behaviour
- Ability to work in isolation and make decisions
- Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain effective on-going relationships with customers.
