Based at our second Australian site in Kemps Creek (Western Sydney), this role will see you join our team of Electro-Mechanical Technicians and Equipment Operators within our brand-new (and fully air-conditioned!) automated distribution centre. With construction well underway, we are now looking for passionate and energetic individuals to join our team as Maintenance Technicians on a permanent, full-time basis. Our technicians will work on a rotating roster, covering day and afternoon shifts, seven days a week. Hourly rates from $37.69 - $48.25 ph dependent on experience and qualifications, plus applicable shift loading.
Your new Role:
Working as part of a cross functional team you’ll support operations by ensuring that the system is optimised, responding to faults, upskilling operators and consistently seeking continuous improvement opportunities to maximise system performance. On any given day this may include:
- Monitoring, operation, fault correction, and housekeeping of automated material handling equipment in a fast-paced production environment
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and computer systems issues and escalate as appropriate
- Coach and mentor the production team to increase their knowledge of fault correction and troubleshooting
- Maximise system performance and up-time through effective execution of all maintenance-related activities
- Investigate and resolve system material flow issues
- Assist in the installation of new, or refurbishment of existing system components
- Facilitate continuous improvement activities through broad system knowledge and site-specific enhancements
About you:
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, with excellent fault finding and troubleshooting abilities
- Familiarity with control technology (PLC / controls/ inverters) desirable
- Previous experience maintaining material handling systems in a manufacturing environment, distribution centre, field service or a related technical role
- Electrical or Mechanical Trade qualifications highly desirable
- A genuine interest in automation and technology, with the aptitude to learn new concepts and procedures
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
- Strong communicator, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Must be willing and able to work rotating shift work (including days, afternoons, weekends, and public holidays) – this roster will commence approximately May 2024
- Ability to travel interstate or international for training
- Ability to accurately identify colours including red, blue, white, yellow, and green
- Meets the physical fitness requirements including:
- Frequent walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and standing for long periods of time
- Working at heights of up to 30 metres (wearing fall-arrest gear and other PPE)
- Lifting, pulling and pushing up to 25kgs unassisted
