Deer Park North is located in the outer western suburbs of Melbourne and serves a culturally diverse community. It has an enrolment of around 300 students.

The school is organised into professional learning teams: Foundation, Year 1, Year 2, Years 3/4 and Years 5/6. The curriculum program focuses strongly on the development of literacy and numeracy skills. The Victorian Curriculum is taught through student centred units of inquiry. Learning Technologies are integrated into the classroom programs through use of use of laptops/iPads.
High importance is placed on the provision of a calm and caring learning environment that promotes a strong sense of belonging. The DPN Community Hub, based at the school, has provided a focal point for our school community and support and assistance to families in connecting to a range of services.

Under the direction of the school leadership team, the Grounds person will work to maintain the general appearance of the school grounds, including garden maintenance, mowing and yard sweeping.
The successful applicant will have the capacity to undertake minor maintenance tasks, including repairs to toilets, fixtures and fittings, moving of furniture etc.
This is a part-time position, and the hours of work will generally be 8.00am to 4.00pm.
1. Under the direction of the School Leadership Team follow a works schedule for the school's grounds
2. Provide care and maintenance of the school grounds, including maintenance of the school's gardens and new plantings in line with the school's landscape plan.
3. Maintain and mow the schoolground as part of a regular cycle of maintenance
5. Assist the school in maintaining a clean and tidy environment . e.g. collecting rubbish and leaf litter around the school grounds
9. Undertake minor maintenance tasks as requested.
10. Other duties as directed by the School Leadership Team
