ABOUT YOUMount Gambier Hotel is looking for a reliable and competent maintenance person to keep our freshly renovated hotel up to customer and management standards. We are looking for someone who loves to keep things organised and carries out general handy work of a high quality.To do well in this role you will have previous experience in maintenance, be highly skilled with various hand and power tools, and be able to read blueprints and repair manuals.

• Proven maintenance experience
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
• Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts
• Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogues, as necessary
• Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices
• Experience performing routine maintenance
• Strong organisational and follow-up skills
• Eye for detail
• Professional presentation and attitude
• Ability to maintain focus while working individually
• Strong time management skills
• Trade experience, certificates, and licenses (desirable)
• Valid drivers license (essential)

Our Gaming Room has the latest games and machines with ongoing member benefits and discounts, be rewarded all day, every day!ABOUT THE JOBWe seek a maintenance worker to inspect different equipment and perform basic repairs or preventative maintenance where/when required. This role is responsible for the daily cleaning and tidying inside and surrounding the venue to ensure safety and curb appeal.Tasks include but are not limited to;

• General maintenance repairs
• Maintaining accommodation
• Changing light fittings
• Cleaning extractor fans
• Beer lines, keg rotation, maintaining keg room, gas bottle changing
• Painting touch-ups
• Cleaning of concrete and paths around the hotel
• Maintaining the outside cleanliness of the hotel
• Assisting with linen deliveries
• Maintaining a high level of customer care whilst performing duties
• To clean the standard set by management to areas that you have been assigned

• This may include all areas both front and back of the house, storage areas, and surrounding carparks
• Collecting and disposing of waste from various departments in line with procedures.
• Keeping car park and garden areas clean and tidy
• Weeding and watering etc as required
• To assist in re-stocking or other such tasks when required
• The ability to operate a motor vehicle to assist the venue in the delivery of items or general portage duties
• Notify management of any maintenance or repair issues
• Report every lost and found item to the Guest Services Manager
• Always follow all hotel policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment is maintained
• Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment
• Performing preventative maintenance
• Handling basic repairs and maintenance
• Overseeing contractors and small-scale projects when professional repairs are necessary
• Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them
• Repairing machines, equipment, or structures, as necessary
